After leaving Marvel and landing briefly at Charlton, Ditko follows Dick Giordano over to DC where he conjures up the Creeper. His series didn't last long enough to catch on. That the audience had little to grab onto characterization-wise didn't help. Unlike Spidey or Dr Strange, Jack Ryder has no real motivation. He's just a guy looking for a job who gets swept up in the falling dominoes of circumstance.
Still, one heck of a visual.
